Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine Granular Reverb Pedal. Walrus Audio’s Lüm is their once limited edition textural reverb that has now earned a place on their permanent roster. Using elements from their Slö Reverb, Lore Reverse Reverb, and Fable Granular Generator, the Lüm is a granular reverb that adds a satisfying texture to any signal. Familiar controls for Mix, Decay, and Filter allow you to shape the reverb’s overall shape. The X and Stretch controls are where you can start to get wild—use the Stretch to adjust the global sample rate for slow, noisier textures, or faster for clean, short reverbs. The X control changes based on the mode, of which there are three.

Grain Cloud mode is a granular texture built out of a dual tap delay line with the X control adjusting the grain size. Grain Verb is a reverb built from a dual tap reverb algorithm with the X also controlling the grain size, but with a distinct washed out sound. The last mode is Forward/Reverse Verb that adds a playful ping-pong effect with the X controlling the reverse reverb’s decay.
